Sovran RP is a browser-based multiplayer political roleplay game operated under the name Sovran RP. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. By creating an account or using Sovran RP, you agree to the practices described here.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account information - your email address and username, provided at registration.
• Authentication data - if you sign in via Google or Discord, we receive your email address and a unique identifier from that provider. We do not receive your password from these services.
• Game data - character names, in-game actions, employment records, transaction history, and other activity you generate while playing.
• Communications - messages you send via the contact or support forms, including any information you voluntarily include.
• Usage data - your last login timestamp and general activity patterns used to maintain your account in good standing.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Operate the game and run its mechanics correctly
• Respond to support and contact requests
• Send transactional emails such as account confirmation and password reset
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms and Conditions
• Improve and maintain the game

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate Sovran RP. These services may process your data as part of providing their service to us:

• Google - optional sign-in via Google OAuth. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Discord - optional sign-in via Discord OAuth. Governed by Discord's Privacy Policy.
• Resend - used to deliver transactional emails such as account confirmations. Your email address is passed to Resend solely for this purpose.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.

Game data that forms part of the shared game world - such as historical transaction records or political events - may be retained in anonymised form after account deletion to preserve the integrity of the game record.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, and to request deletion of your account and associated personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@sovranrp.com.

7. Cookies and Sessions

Sovran RP uses session cookies solely to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

8. Age Requirement

Sovran RP is intended for players aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under this age. If you believe a person under 16 has created an account, please contact us at support@sovranrp.com and we will remove the account promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sovran RP after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
